Preventative Care

Our goal is to motivate and teach children how to care for their teeth ensuring they last a lifetime. It’s a joint effort between us, your child, and you to establish healthy oral habits. A checkup every six months helps ensure your child’s teeth are growing correctly with no underlying problems. Cleanings, fluoride treatment, and sealants are measures taken before a full-blown cavity is present.

When Should My Child See a Dentist for The First Time?

As a parent, you might wonder when you should take your child to a dentist for the first time. We recommend scheduling your child’s first dental appointment as soon as their first tooth appears, usually between 6 to 12 months of age or by their first birthday. Although this might seem early, starting preventive dental care at a young age can significantly benefit your child’s oral health in the long run. Shockingly, more than a quarter of children have cavities by the age of four, and untreated baby tooth decay can increase the risk of permanent tooth decay as well. By establishing good oral hygiene habits early on, your child will have healthier teeth and a happier smile.

Restorative Dentistry

Despite our team’s best efforts, children will likely end up with a dental problem at one point or another in their early lives. We offer several quality options that can rebuild solid and healthy teeth and give your child back the beautifully happy smile they deserve. Contact us to schedule a first visit.

Conscious Sedation

Conscious sedation is a cocktail of oral medications given that may be necessary for children who have high anxiety, are very young, or simply struggle to be cooperative in the dental setting. It can also be helpful for children with special needs and children who require extensive dental treatment. It is essential to understand that the child is NOT unconscious after medication. Schedule an appointment to receive more information from our doctors.

General Anesthesia

This course of treatment may be necessary for children with extensive treatment needs, uncooperative, special needs, or if their age restricts them from being suitable candidates for conscious sedation. We are proud to work with highly skilled anesthesiologist who provide a safe, comfortable hospital quality experience for all of our dental patients.
