Kid’s Dental Sedations
For those who have anxiety at the dentist, pain levels, and for larger procedures. We work with your family to determine what is best and personalize the experience to ensure all safety and needs are met.
Kid’s Tooth Extractions
We do tooth extractions with pain relief medication and will help with all after-care instructions and healing.
Kid’s Dental Fillings
Healthy and painless composite fillings on children and teens. Fillings are great for covering abscesses, cavities, broken pieces, and more.
Kid’s Dental Sealants
Sealants are great for sensitive teeth and great for preventing cavities when covering adult or permanent teeth.

About Us
Growing up our team only had bad experiences at a sterile, unforgiving dental office. This is why we want to change things! Our offices are supplied with fish tanks, televisions, games, and even a climbable pirate ship! We want all children to feel like our office is a place that is welcoming, fun, and where they can be excited about going to the dentist. Dental check ups don’t have to be scary at Thornton Kids Dentistry.
Meet Dr. Derren Tippets
- Dr. Tippets is a Pediatric Dentist and has been in practice for 20 years, establishing his first practice 16 years ago.
- Colorado native who enjoys all things outdoors, especially with his pets.
- Has his Bachelors in pediatric dentistry from BYU, and attended dental school immediately after. He completed his residency at Temple Hospital in 2008, and has been practicing his own ever since.
New Patients
- We accept most insurances and Medicaid.
- We are bilingual in English and Spanish, and have paperwork in both languages as well.
- All new patients are given a tour of our practice and are given a special for an introductory price.
