Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Derren Tippets
While growing up in Colorado Dr. Tippets had a fantastic childhood. He enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities such as football, basketball, and soccer. Boy Scouts was a significant influence in his life as he spent many weekends skiing, camping, fishing, backpacking, and snowmobiling. Continuing to enjoy the outdoors as an adult he’s added freediving, spearfishing, boating, and scuba diving to his list of favorite activities.
Dr. Tippets has two amazing parents, 4 siblings, 4 children, and two dogs. Spending time with his wonderful family is one of his favorite things to do with his freetime.
While studying history at BYU Dr. Tippets realized he loved dentistry and decided to attend dental school which moved his small family to south Florida near Nova Southeastern University. Following graduation in 2006 he completed a 2 year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia. His first office was started in 2008 and has therefore been treating kids for nearly 20 years!
Having extensive experience and education in conscious sedation and general anesthesia Dr. Tippets has spent much of his career treating children who are in need of full mouth rehabilitation. He truly enjoys helping these children as they are in significant need. People often ask Dr. Tippets why he chose a career in pediatric dentistry. His response is usually, “A career that I can joke around with kids and watch cartoons all day? Sign me up!”
